When I, Annmari, started opening my old files and actually reading them for the first time, it was with Amalie – my friend and co-founder of sorts.
We read together. Both out loud and to ourselves. Took breaks when it got too much. Continued talking when we had the strength.
What had been hidden away for so many years was finally read aloud and I was therefore not alone in containing my story.
It was the beginning of many discoveries I never in my life thought I had experienced or that they had been a part of my life. Finally, enough was enough. I decided that my story needed to be told. And now it is public.
Today, my story can be seen in the documentary "Mysteriet om mig selv" on TV2 Play. Amalie has been by my side the whole way. Both in the difficult moments – and when we have celebrated the good ones.
She has been the one who reminded me that I had to tell my story. That I was not wrong. That I was not alone.
We share this with you because rank has always been carried by something greater than design, namely the belief that true beauty starts when we dare to be ourselves.
